Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 medium onions
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon chili powder

For Tempering

  • ½ tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • ½ teaspoon urad dal
  • ½ teaspoon chana dal
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Cauliflower: Wash the cauliflower thoroughly and cut it into small florets
  • Tempering: Heat ½ tablespoon oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ½ teaspoon cumin seeds, ½ teaspoon mustard seeds, ½ teaspoon urad dal, ½ teaspoon chana dal and let it splutter. Then add ½ teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • Saute Onions: Add chopped 1 medium onions and saute until golden brown
  • Cook the Cauliflower: Add the 1 head cauliflower florets to the pan and stir well. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon salt and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the florets are lightly browned.
  • Add Spice: Sprinkle ½ tablespoon chili powder over the cauliflower and mix thoroughly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring the spice coats the florets evenly.
  • Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish with rice or rotis.
